Ginny started DJing in 2003 after a trip to Ibiza that left her wanting a slice of the action! When she got home, she bought a set of cheap turntables, and was hooked.
After a while teaching herself the basics, Ginny enrolled on a DJ course at the Manchester MIDI School which gave her the confidence she needed to play in public.
Ginny started by playing in local bars, including a year long residency at Sphere Wine bar in Kendal playing mainly Vocal house, Latin house, and Electro.
She soon progressed onto playing in nightclubs, and eventually planned and promoted house night 'Aural Pleasure' with Gemma Furbank (which raised over £700 for Breast Cancer Care).
Ginny also played a set at the Orange Corner in Ibiza last Summer - returning to the Island that made her wanna get out there and DJ in the first place!
She has a weekly slot on internet radio. You can hear her weekly show "Tuesday are..." on www.djsinthemix.net form 9-11pm, featuring some exclusive guest mixes and new releases from Axis Trax each week.
Ginny loves to DJ because "I love music, and I love to share the music I love with as many people as possible! Simple as that."
Ginny has started teaching herself production too, and has invested in an Apple Mac and Logic. Her first track 'Relativity' is uploaded to her MySpace page (www.myspace.com/djginnyk) and is working on another as we speak. To DJ, she uses Pioneer CDJs (a 300 and a 1000 mk3 - but is familiar with all Pioneer models) and a DJX-700 Behringer mixer. She is also confident using Pioneer EFX500 and a range of mixers. Ginny is also learning the 'Scratch Live' ropes.
Ginny loves variety in her house music, but at the moment is loving mostly; progressive vibes, tech-house tunes, and electro beats!
