Circo Loco has to many peoples amazement and joy, risen from the ashes like the proverbial phoenix. Its return has been almost unilaterally welcomed, some would say even by many those who opposed it in the first place. The reopening news has been released with none of the fan fair and publicity that it’s departure witnessed. A quiet victory on the behalf of Circo Loco perhaps and a very large part of the Ibiza experience for many restored.
“A New Era“ is their new mantra. A new era indeed! With new additions of Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler and DJ Wild as Circo Loco residents it seems that they are taking much welcomed (in my opinion) move towards the warmer grooves of house as opposed to the sparse minimal sounds they were synonymous with in the past. The new era will also see the departure of two of Circo Loco's most prestigious proteges. In a statement from Andea Pelino "We will open on Monday 31st May at 12pm midday and it will be the start of Circo Loco – The New Era, we will be running weekly after that and the idea is that we’re starting again, we’re starting a new era. In the past when we had Loco Dice and Luciano, those times have gone, we’ve moved on, we’re moving on and keeping the music strong.”
What measures they have had to take to re-open will remain to be seen, as will the the extreme methods used by the Guardia in the past. Either way, Circo Loco is back!!
